Morgan Smith

Graduate of Columbia College at Columbia University and Mannes College of Music in New York City, Morgan made his debut as an Seattle Opera young artist (1999-2000) in 2001. He made his debut on stage with the company as Donald as Billy Budd. Smith, a Seattle favourite, has appeared in more than 12 shows, including Don Giovanni in the title role, Silvio and I Pagliacci in I Pagliacci as well Riccardo from I Puritani. He also performed the role of Peter Niles, in Mourning Becomes Electra. He is a regular performer in the concert hall and in the orchestra, Mr. Smith made his Dallas Symphony debut in Bach's St. Matthew Passion, and debuted with the San Antonio Symphony for the North American premiere of Vier Praludien and Ernste Gesange, Detlef Glanert's orchestral interpretation of the well-loved work by Brahms. Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, the Requiems by Brahms as well as Faure as well as Mozart as well as the masses of C Minor as well as G Minor composed by Vaughan Williams, Bach's B Minor Mass and many Cantatas that include H ndel's Messiah, L'Allegro il Penseroso and il Moderato. the Haydn's The Creation, Lord Nelson Mass and Haydn's The Creation are also included in the repertoire for concerts.
